Making a Difference

Gourmet Island makes an important contribution to sustainability whilst protecting the natural environment that will be needed in the future. We understand that protecting and improving the natural world is vital for the long-term sustainability of our business and the environment.

Our commitment to environmental sustainability covers key areas such as reducing emissions, water use and managing the land, which is important not only for the environment but also for producing nutritious, high quality meat.

We have recently undertaken and completed a project to significantly reduce emissions through more efficient and environmentally friendly lighting.

Investment for Growth and Jobs

Gourmet Island Ltd has received Invest NI Selective Financial Assistance in support of its investment and growth plans. Part financed by the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme for Northern Ireland 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. This project will assist Gourmet Island Ltd towards the implementation of further growth plans which includes investment in new machinery to enhance the processing capacity at the factory, introduce efficiencies and increase daily production volumes. This project will therefore result in improved and higher value products and will contribute towards the introduction of a product offering to new sectors.
